Another useful Poker feature is the kitty, a small fund that is used to cover the cost of a new deck of cards. This is built by cutting a low-denomination chip from a pot with more than one raise. All the remaining players, who are still in the game, are awarded a portion of the kitty. Usually, a fixed amount is set for the rake.
Another useful Poker feature is the ‘bet’, a bet that is made before the deal is completed. It is considered to be a small bet, and usually is worth the price of a pint of beer.
A bet of this size should be accompanied by a clear explanation of what the other players will do. Unless you are an expert, don’t just bet a few dollars.
